As a school leaver, Justine Nuzzo started as a YTS trainee dental nurse and completed the NEBDN qualification. Working with other dental professionals gave her ‘wonderful role models’, which she says, has shaped her into the person she is today.
She explains: ‘For me, the real motivation to volunteer with a charity was quite simply wanting to help others. Seeing news articles about healthcare in third world countries – and more recently, refugee camps – pulled at my heartstrings.
'In the digital age we live in now, we constantly see all areas of the world needing charitable help – whether it’s material things, such as clothing, or healthcare. Once I realised my job is a skill that can be shared to help relieve people from dental pain, I started to put a plan into action.'
