Jacqui Elsden introduces the leadership of the British Association of Dental Nurses

The British Association of Dental Nurses’ strategic direction and decision-making, together with the responsibility for the financial integrity of the association, are handled by the executive committee.

There are four key roles within the executive committee: president, chair, education representative and treasurer. These roles are held for a two-year period apart from the president’s term of office – this is a four-year commitment to the association, with year one marked as president-elect, years two and three marked as president and then year four marked as immediate past-president. Any BADN full member can apply to hold any one of these four positions when they become available, however, it is recommended to have had some experience on the executive committee or the panel of representatives before being nominated for BADN president.
