
The term ‘post nominal’ relates to the letters or suffixes that follow a person’s name to indicate that the individual holds “a position, an academic degree, accreditation, an office, a military decoration, or honour, or is a member of a religious institute of fraternity”. As dental nurses we see them all the time attached to dentists or clinicians names on websites, email signatures or for CPD courses. And honestly, I think it’s amazing when I see the level and standard of education and training that our fellow colleagues and professionals hold. So why does it seem that as dental nurses we don’t seem to celebrate in the same way?
