What is four-handed dentistry?

In this article, we hope to expand your knowledge and spark an interest to investigate and consider this technique further if you do not already work ergonomically in a four-handed way. Within the dental surgery we must consider the clinician (dentist, hygienist or therapist), the dental nurse and, most importantly, the patient. Many of our colleagues who practise dentistry daily are faced with challenges that can be avoided with the use of this technique. As a team, we have worked together in the dental surgery for more than 10 years and are able to work seamlessly together.
