Why did you volunteer?
I initially viewed this position as an opportunity to broaden my experience within the healthcare profession. Being that this isn’t my area of expertise, it came with a lot of benefits and allowed me to implement my already extensive knowledge around handling sharps, as well as other areas such as cross infection and patient interaction. As a result of completing my vaccination training, this added to my qualifications which will only allow me to progress further in my career, resulting in me being able to help more people in the future.
Another reason I decided to partake in the vaccination scheme was to help the NHS with distributing the vaccine as well as helping the public to receive it. It’s inarguably been a very difficult year for the vast majority of people, and I wanted to help us all come out the other end of this pandemic as soon as possible.
