
While dentistry is historically a well-paid profession, the cost of living is starting to bite across the industry. A column published by Nature.org highlights the researched position of the British Association of Dental Nurses, which has called for higher wages for nurses in addition to better training. Currently, the skills gap is creating lower earnings potential for the future. When thrown into the mix with life events, the cost of living and proper financial planning becomes extremely difficult to do properly. One of the most challenging of those potential life changes is, undoubtedly, divorce, and with new laws coming into force, a lack of proper planning can make the situation a disaster for dental nurses.
