What is it like to work so closely and for so long with a colleague that you cannot imagine being without them? Dental nurses and reception team Kim Long and Nadine Francis reveal the secret of being a good ‘wingman’

Together, Kim Long, 56, and Nadine Francis, 43, are considered a bit of a tour de force at Penryn Dental Practice. The reception duo recently celebrated 25 years at the practice in Cornwall and, according to joint principal dentist Donal O’Halloran, they are its ‘backbone’.

They have worked there together since the early 1990s, supporting the business throughout its extensive development and helping it to grow into a reputable practice, both having started in dentistry as dental nurses at the age of 16.

As Donal adds: ‘The practice has developed enormously over the past 25 years, with big changes, developments and specialisms to help offer our patients the very best care… and we couldn’t have done any of it without them. We’re hugely grateful and privileged to have them here. We hope they stay for many more years to come.’
