How do you or your practice say ‘thank you’ to the team? Do you get told on a regular basis or does the practice keep it to once a year at Christmas? At the end of every day, managers should make a point of popping into reception on their way out and thanking everyone for their help and support that day. Make a point of having a chat with the staff and, in staff meetings, praise the team for a job well done, and thank them at the end of every meeting.
