Rosie Box is 27 and works at Smile Dental Care in Bodmin. The former receptionist says: ‘I never thought I would want to go into dentistry, but working at Smile Dental Care really made me want to learn more about teeth!’
She is now a trainee dental nurse thanks to a life-changing trip volunteering with Dental Mavericks. The charity has been travelling to Morocco for more than 10 years, building relationships and helping thousands of children out of daily pain.
Having joined the team on one of these trips, Rosie was immediately inspired to train in dental nursing. She explains: ‘It really opened my eyes. It’s a completely wonderful experience and I would recommend anyone to go.'
