Towards the end of last year, The Dentist hosted its very first roundtable discussion event in association with Philips. Key opinion leaders came together to discuss oral health in the UK as the country emerges from the covid pandemic.
The event took place at Philips’ impressive new headquarters in Farnborough, Hampshire. Dental therapist Charlotte Wake led the debate, which included Megan Fairhall, Safa Al-Naher, Zainab Al-Mukhtar, Alif Moosajee, Victoria Wilson and Anna Middleton, as well as Philips’ professional relations manager, Melanie Pomphrett.
Utilising the team
The term “build back better” has been used by politicians from across the globe over the last two years. It perhaps offers comfort that although the pandemic has been a terrible experience, it has offered us the opportunity to create something better than what existed before. In dentistry there are many potential strands to this – and dental professionals up and down the country have been questioning a number of aspects about the way they work in a way they perhaps didn’t before.
