Dental nursing can be a really rewarding career. When my patients leave their appointments happy, or have had an amazing smile transformation, that’s rewarding to me. I feel like I’ve been a part of something that has made someone else feel good. Having lovely patients always helps!


I’ve encountered many challenges over the years I’ve been nursing. It can prove very difficult if you have a manager who is unsupportive, a dentist who is problematic, or other dental nurses who simply don’t work as a team. I think that having empathetic and like-minded colleagues around you is important if you are to achieve the best out in your working day every day.
