In my experience, safeguarding is an area that can cause a great deal of concern for DCPs, in relation to what are their professional obligations, and towards what extent they need, or should get involved with a perceived situation. In this article, I hope to outline the following – regulatory expectations and our professional remit. Additionally, I will share a case study with you from my own personal experience of safeguarding, hopefully reducing some of the anxiety that this subject can cause.
