Dental Nursing talks to Liz Fuller about her practice’s approach to National Smile Month.

National Smile Month is a charity campaign all about championing the benefits of having good oral health and promoting the value of a healthy smile. Between 16 May and 16 June, the Oral Health Foundation (OHF) raises awareness of important health issues, and this year in particular is all about tackling inequalities within oral health in the UK, under the theme of ‘Everyone deserves a healthy smile’.

Addressing the need for support on its website, the OFH writes, “Maintaining a healthy smile can be simple but for so many this can be very difficult. Despite the many improvements in oral health over the last 40 years, inequalities continue to be a burden for countless individuals.
