They checked for blood clots with a scan and nothing was found. He was admitted to the high dependency unit and placed on various different machines to keep him alive. Over the following hours, various blood results came back, and the doctors told us the cause of his cardiac arrest was sepsis, which had caused his blood oxygen level to drop dangerously low along with his blood pressure, and one by one all of his organs were shutting down.
