Scotland is now home to a new pioneering charity committed to transforming lives through dental care. The Diamond Smiles Foundation, founded by Leanne Branton of Southside Dental Care in Edinburgh, offers free dental treatment to women who have survived domestic abuse, aiming to restore confidence, dignity, and hope—starting with a smile.
The foundation was launched last November at an event that resonated deeply with attendees. Leanne, the founder behind this initiative, shared her inspiration and goals.
Leanne said, "This foundation isn’t just about fixing teeth; it’s about healing lives. Many survivors of domestic abuse carry the visible and invisible scars of their experiences, and their smiles often tell a story of pain. Our mission is to help these women reclaim their confidence, their self-worth, and their futures by addressing their oral health needs.”
