Susie Verow works at The Maltings Dental Practice in Grantham, Lincolnshire and has been a dental nurse since 1992.

At the heart of her job, she believes that ‘showing patients compassion and empathy and having a caring nature’ is key.

‘I am always enthusiastic and passionate to provide the best patient care to my patients and value all their needs. Being adaptable with today’s changes in dentistry and society is essential.’

She recently embraced the use of social media to support her role in surgery.

Writing on the practice’s own blogging site, she shared her experience of her search for a ‘good quality’ mouthguard and wasn’t afraid to catalogue the mistakes she made along the way as well as the final solution.
