Alex Keir-Rawlings: Hi Dom, I am also a male dental nurse. I'm based in Edinburgh and work for NHS Lothian. I feel your pain as most patients think if you're a guy, then you're the dentist. Hold your head high and introduce yourself as a dental nurse. We are a rare breed but more and more are appearing, which makes me smile. We should maybe start a group for the male RDNs?
Dom Allen: I'm up for a male RDN group! How long have you been dental nursing? There's definitely more of us popping up. I've met more in the last year than I have in the six years I've been dental nursing! I love dental nursing but there is a lot of pressure to do more!
