Over the years, technology has changed how many organisations function, which became even more relevant during the pandemic when face-to-face meetings and patient visits were frequently substituted by video conferencing.

Because of this, tech often comes pre-configured with the ability to record calls, with many people now preferring to take audio/visual notes of their communications rather than penning down summaries. However, the legal implications must be examined in order for all to be above board.

In this article, I will address whether it is legal to make an audio recording, as well as the benefits and drawbacks of employing technology in this manner.
