If you ask anyone, they are likely to say that 2021 has been a tough year. This is especially true for children, who throughout it all will have experienced disrupted school routines, birthdays spent in lockdown and have had to adapt to whatever new circumstances that the pandemic has brought to their family lives.
For many children, these tough times have been especially hard, especially if they are living below the poverty line. In fact, it is estimated that 31 per cent of all children in the UK are living in poverty, meaning that many are without access to good educational resources, opportunity and, in more cases than we would like to think about, food.
