It is important to bring clarity to questions such as ‘Should dental nurses use post nominal letters or not?’ And if they should – which should they use? After a recent article was published in Dental Nursing encouraging the usage of post nominals, we decided to check official guidelines for the sake of clarity. Whilst it is important to encourage dental nurses to feel confident in owning their qualifications and not shying away from emphasising the hard work you put in to gaining them, it is equally important to recognise that there are specific places in which that usage is appropriate, and in which it is not.
