What may seem like two similar topics, oral cancer and tobacco, are now seen as entirely separate issues to address. This article will explore oral cancer and its relationship with tobacco use, how the role of the dental nurse can assist in the care of such patients, and how you can play a vital role in offering tobacco cessation advice. It will identify how and where you can gain cessation materials forpatients and how important it is to documentadvice. This article will not address vaping which will be reviewed in a future article.
