…This was the advice given to Michelle Jackson by her college tutor for dental nursing back in 2000. Now, she is the operations director at Love Dental. We all dream of expanding our horizons beyond the ordinary – and that is exactly what Michelle did.
Love Dental is a new practice using the latest technology and tackling fear of the dentist head on. With extensive research to back it up, the practice prides itself on its accommodating demeanour. Michelle explains how she started off as a dental nurse apprentice, eventually building her way up.
‘I've now been in dentistry since the year 2000 where, after leaving college, I wasn't sure which path to take,’ she says. ‘All of my friends were applying to university but I really wanted to be in a workplace straight away. Seeing an advert for a trainee dental nurse appealed to me, especially as it was an apprenticeship, receiving on the job training and more importantly it was doing something I already enjoyed – meeting and looking after people.’
