Locum nursing: a career game-changer!

“Cavity has been working with Dentaid in providing locum dental staff since 2018. It’s been such a rewarding experience for many of the locums to help the Dentaid teams provide dental care to those less fortunate from their mobile units across the country. Locums see working with Dentaid and being provided the opportunity to work with them as one of the many perks of joining the agency and something that provides fulfillment in their role. Caroline and Lori share their experiences working for the agency and reflect on their experiences with Dentaid.

My journey with Cavity Dental Staff Agency began back in 2017 after various roles within the dental field. I was a treatment coordinator, and worked in orthodontic nursing, and I worked as a lead nurse and in general dental nursing as well. At that point, I was very unsure of where I truly wanted to be, or what I wanted to do next in my career. Agency nursing had never crossed my mind in the past, and it was only through an old colleague of mine who was working with Cavity Dental Staff that I started to consider it. She mentioned the great benefits of locum nursing, and I became very interested very quickly. I decided to give Cavity Dental a call, and to my great surprise, within 24 hours I had arranged to meet with the area manager who covered my area for a chat.
