Pam Swain outlines the key differences between the British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN) , the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) and registrations with the General Dental Council (GDC).

The British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN)

The BADN, as well as being a leading association for dental nurses in the UK, is all about teamwork. The Executive Committee and staff work together to support and promote dental nurses, and the dental nursing profession as a whole. Whilst the president is of course the most visible member of the Executive Committee, decisions are always made through productive discussion and consensus – with the views of all Committee members considered equally. The Executive Committee are also guided by the AGM or –which in other words means, the are guided by BADN members themselves. Executive Committee members serve a specific term of office, and the number of times they can hold that office are limited.
