Claire Frisby talks to two dental nurses about starting dental nursing later in life

When I was younger, back in the ‘90s, dental nurses did not have to be registered and to my mind seemed to be generally younger. Now, 30-odd years later, things seem to have changed and I am aware of lots of older dental nurses who have been in dental nursing for many years, like me. There are also now a lot of older dental nurses returning to the role after career breaks or joining the profession for the first time after pursuing other careers. I recently spoke to two dental nurses to see how they felt about joining the profession later in life.
