Is locum life for me?

Darcey Mellen asks the important questions about locum nursing.

To give you a little introduction about me, I am a 24-year-old dental nurse from Somerset, and this year I have completed access to a higher education diploma and will be starting my BSc in dental hygiene and therapy in September. I have been working as a dental nurse for over four years, and started in an NHS practice initially, before moving on to a private practice. It was only once looking for another alternative there that I recently started working for a locum agency.

These are some of the questions I know that had before starting out as an agency dental nurse, an think could be very useful to anyone looking at going down a similar path. Now that I have been doing locum work for almost a year, I feel I have just enough experience to share my thoughts with fellow dental nurses and share with them what I wish I had known before!
