How to nurture workplace wellness

Claire Wassall offers insight on ensuring excellent mental and physical health within dentistry.

As head of health and wellbeing with Cavity Dental Staff, it is my responsibility to develop a platform where mental health can be discussed and communicated openly, removing the stigma that is sadly still associated with it. I aim to provide our employees with platforms – internally and externally – where we can talk or where they may gain access to resources that will ultimately help towards supporting their overall health and wellbeing. My work at Cavity builds on a solid foundation of what already was a very person-focused company. Everyone here is seen and treated as an individual; personal situations are always considered, and, if necessary, reasonable adjustments are put in place to support them. I see this happening weekly within Cavity and to be part of that process is a privilege.
