Implant nursing

Do you think there will be new protocols to consider in return to work due to COVID-19?

Yes, there will be but depending on what phase we are in. With the current phase three, there are currently new protocols to consider. With fallow time taken into consideration, all treatments are going to take longer. For me, it’s all part of the ‘new normal’.

Dental nurses just need to allow time to adapt and adjust their workflow. We are very lucky in our practice as our clinical director, Dr Lau Berraondo, has worked incredibly hard throughout the whole pandemic in making sure the practice is safe – not only for the patients but also for the staff. He has made the whole process seamless for the whole team and we are very lucky to have a good leader.
