How did your career in dentistry begin?
My dad was a dentist and my mum was a nurse, so I have been surrounded by dentistry from a very young age. I studied english and history at university, but nursed for my dad on weekends - so dentistry was always there in the background. Halfway through my degree, I realised that I had chosen the wrong course, but I saw it through to the end. Having realised that I wanted to pursue a career in the dental world, I went back to night school to obtain my A-Level in human biology before applying to the Eastman Dental Institute.
