Doing root canal treatments (RCTs) in a general practice is completely different to working with an endodontic specialist. I have worked with Dr Bhavin Bhuva for seven years now and we are known as the practice ‘dream team’. I’ve learnt so much from him about general dentistry as well as TMJ issues, myofascial pain, restorations and so on. He has just completed a literature review that has been accepted in the International Endodontic Journal. He is such a good endodontist and runs an accredited level 7 course with another endodontic specialist. I have such a great teacher. The ongoing joke in the practice is that if a general dentist has a question about root canal – and Bhavin isn’t here – they come to me.
