Embracing your social side!

Alice Garside speaks to Clementine Rees Brown about the importance of connecting with others online, and remaining authentic on social media.

How have you acquired the tools you need to build up your profile in the industry?

You could say my career in dentistry started before I was born. My dad was a dentist, my mum was a dental nurse. There was nowhere I felt quite as home as in the dental surgery. As a child, I used to create toothpaste commercials for myself in the mirror, we were the family that gave out toothpaste samples on Halloween, and when I was older I used to nurse for my dad on weekends at the surgery. Like many teenagers, I initially rebelled against my calling, taking a degree in English and history, but after university quickly realised that my passion for all things hygiene was my happy place. I took an A-Level in human biology and then studied hygiene at Eastman’s. I couldn’t imagine a different path now and feel energised by my own passion for all things hygiene-oriented. This is the driver for everything that I do in the industry.
