Freya Witt describes her incredible journey into dental nursing.

When I left school, I felt like I was staring into a frightening void. I didn’t have the faintest clue what I wanted to do. University wasn’t appealing, but neither was the idea of having no plan whatsoever... Caught in a strange sort of limbo, I followed the herd, thinking the ‘right’ thing to do was apply to university, even though I knew deep down it wasn’t for me. Unsurprisingly, I dropped out faster than you can say ‘Freshers’ Week!’

So, there I was, back to square one, with no degree, no job, and no clue what to do next.

But, life has a funny way of steering you where you need to go. One night, while aimlessly scrolling through job sites, I stumbled across an apprenticeship for dental nursing. I didn’t fully understand what I was applying for, but I thought, ‘Why not?’ and submitted my application. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
