Defence Dental Care Professionals Conference

3 mins read Training and leadership
The sharing of ideas and celebration of successes are vital to developing close team relationships. Sarah Armstrong talks about a conference designed to strengthen the bond between military and civilian dental care professionals.

The Defence Dental Care Professionals Conference took place on Thursday 5 December at the Defence Joint Medical Group HQ in Lichfield, West Midlands. More than 200 DCPs working across Defence attended the event including both serving military DCPs (from the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force) and civilian DCPs who work alongside each other in military dental centres.

The purpose of the conference was to draw DCPs together from across the organisation to share ideas, celebrate successes with the presentation of the Defence Oral Health Awards and conduct an educational programme emphasising the importance of close team relationships.
