
Welcome back to my journey in Oral Health Education – a post-certification that I am completing with the BDA. During these past few weeks, I have come across challenges many learners face – external factors affecting our time management. Although I have allocated time to my coursework, the railway strikes did unfortunately have an impact on my commute, and therefore my learning.
In my first series, I covered weeks one to three, during which I explored the oral cavity in health and oral diseases affecting it (periodontal disease, caries etc), the effect of sugar on teeth, the importance of fluoride and smoking cessation in dentistry.
