Since 2014, George Warman Publications (publishers of Dental Update, Dental Nursing and The Dentist) has organised a search for very best in infection prevention and control. Now in its fifth year, the 2019 Infection Prevention and Control Practice of the Year Award will be run with the help, expertise and sponsorship of Aura Infection Control Ltd.
As in previous years, the Aura Infection Prevention and Control Practice of the Year award 2019 seeks to recognise outstanding quality in infection prevention and control. Infection control procedures are incredibly important in a medical setting, and proper performance of these procedures safeguards staff, visitors and patients from diseases and infections with potentially dire consequences. Obviously, a minimum level of safety is assured through CQC regulation and even meeting this requirement can create a lot of work without the proper equipment. Some practices, however, work hard to surpass the standard requirements and patients are often unaware of the effort to which dental teams go in ensuring their safety in terms of infection control. Displaying an award is a great way to get them engaged.
