Dental Nursing speaks to Josh Warwick about fusing dentistry and photography.

Josh Warwick decided to begin training as a dental nurse during 2020, after struggling to find a job in the film and photography industry. Eventually he secured a position as a dental nurse. But, on the same day, he was offered a photography apprenticeship. However, Josh turned the position down. Josh explains, “I turned it down for dental nurse as I felt I’d have a much more fulfilling career in dentistry, so far that rings true.”

He was fortunate enough to secure a position with a private practise, Ramsbottom Dental care, creating opportunities to witness a range of treatments while he trained. Reflecting on his training Josh says, “My hands down favourite part of my training was my implant training. I love the intricacies of implant placement and all the set up. It is also ties into where I want to progress to within the coming years which is to become and operating department practitioner.”
