Humans are highly adaptable to change. Since March, we have all been expected to ‘control the controllables’ whilst embracing huge adjustments required to live with COVID-19.
We all rapidly adapted to the so-called ‘new normal’, with social distancing and mask wearing, school and workplace closures, furlough and home working – often with love and support outside the home ripped away from us.
These past six months have certainly been a strain and few have escaped unscathed. Emotionally, mentally, physically and financially, we have all felt the uneasiness and, as a consequence, tried to unearth some positives, the biggest of which was the sense of camaraderie the pandemic gifted us.
