An everyday hero

For National Apprentice Week 2023, this outstanding 22-year-old trainee dental nurse from Stockport shares her journey to becoming an apprentice and her advice for others considering an opportunity to grow in their careers.

Tiegan recalls, “I never knew what I wanted to do after finishing school, unlike my friends who had their future careers planned out. But then I came across a job advertised for an apprentice role at Bupa and immediately jumped on the application.”

Tiegan remembers her mother saying how proud she would be of her to be working at such a respected company.

She adds, “I got the job, and I mean it when I say I haven’t ever looked back. I’ve worked at the High Lane practice for almost 18 months, and I can safely say it’s everything I have always wanted to do. I feel lucky to have really found my passion in dentistry.”
