Dental nurse Emma Farrell offers a step-by-step guide for those considering becoming the perfect professional partner on any patient journey

Emma Farrell is the senior implant coordinator at Enhance Dental Spa Dental Implant Clinic situated in the heart of the Cambridgeshire city of Ely.

Her journey in dentistry began as a receptionist in 2005, working in an NHS practice. But within a year, she decided she needed a challenge and so began her dental nursing career.

She says: ‘In 2011, I received my NEBDN Dental Nursing Diploma. I joined Enhance Dental Clinics, a fully private practice, in 2013 and soon developed the skills and experience to assist in complex surgical and implant procedures.

‘I am now senior implant coordinator at Enhance – a job that I really enjoy because it enables me to work closely with my team and provide high standards of dental care for our patients. In 2017, I enrolled in the implant nursing year course with Dawood and Tanner and received my NEBDN Implant Nursing Certificate. This is where I met Glenys Bridges, who became my mentor.’
