Safeguarding training should be an essential part of continuing professional development (CPD) for all dental nurses and staff working in a dental practice across the UK. That includes admin staff, non-clinical staff, temporary staff and trainees.
In short, everyone in the dental practice should have a firm understanding of how to protect the welfare of all patients.
This knowledge can only be evidenced by an up-to-date dental safeguarding training certificate, such as those available from a reputable training provider such as the Child Protection Company, whose safeguarding courses are recommended by the British Dental Association and worth three hours of verifiable CPD under the General Dental Council Lifelong Learning Scheme.
