To give a little background, I began working as a dental nurse almost completely by accident. I have a background in art and design and printing and was very much into the arts in school and college, but was struggling to find a place within any creative industry. One day, I saw that my childhood dentist (for whom I had always had respect) was advertising a vacancy for a dental nurse. I decided to take the plunge and put in an application through sheer curiosity. Then as they say, the rest is history!
Back to (almost) the present day, the pandemic felt like it had thrown normality out of the window in every single way. Days that were normally full of activity and routine were soon replaced by me desperately trying to find ways to get out and about and feel a little adventure again. Through numerous internet searches, I found myself trying my hand at abseiling, ziplining, and even indoor skydiving. I suppose deep down I could feel my longing for variety and adventure, and just how much I (and countless others) were missing that professionally and personally, during such an isolated time.
