Dentists are inherently skilled to provide facial aesthetics – and dental nurses are well-placed to assist them. Katharine Gladwin shares her enthusiasm for these complementary cosmetic treatments

Dental nurse Katharine Gladwin loves her role working alongside Dr Peter Hole MFDS RFC at Buckingham House Dental Surgery in Malvern, Worcester. Having attended a number of facial aesthetics courses together, they are now providing wrinkle-reducing treatments and dermal fillers to their patients. Katharine says: ‘Pete felt it was important that I had an insight into how to undertake the treatment and how best to assist him. We began offering facial aesthetics in September 2019, following a two-day hands-on course. We had been talking about doing the course for a while, as we both enjoy new challenges and found this course local to us. It didn’t affect our working week so no patients had to be rebooked.’
