It seems to be well known and discussed that there is a crisis within dental nursing, with many dental nurses being unhappy within their role. You only have to look at the dental nurse forums and social media groups to see that dental nurses feel undervalued and underappreciated. We wanted to look at what we can do to help ourselves feel more fulfilled within the role and what else we can do with our qualification.

No one should be made to feel like they don’t deserve more, whether that be remuneration, progression or job satisfaction, but in the same breath we can’t expect opportunities to land in our laps – sometimes we have to create our own.
