A brief introduction!

Jacqui Elsden introduces the BADN Panel of Representatives and what makes them passionate about their roles.

In two previous articles for Dental Nursing, I provided information about the roles and responsibilities of BADN’s executive committee and how it is key in providing the strategic direction of the association and its accountability for decision making. This is to ensure the best experience and representation at local, national, and international levels for its members. A number of functions support the executive committee, and the Panel of Representatives (PoR) is one of them.

The PoR is formed of BADN members who work closely with the Executive Committee, who must be registered as dental nurses with the General Dental Council (GDC). Each panel member must live and work in the geographical area they are representing. In addition, if they are representing a specific part of dental nursing, they must also be working in that particular field.
