We are all professionals. We understand our roles as dental care professionals and we take pride in carrying out our daily duties to the best of our ability. But, do we really stop to consider the implications of taking this privilege for granted? What effect could failing to maintain professionalism both inside and outside of the dental practice have on our chosen career? My role as a GDC Fitness to Practise (FtP) panellist never fails to remind me just how easy it can be for a registrant to find themselves in front of their governing body. This isn't meant to be a scary read, more a reminder of how we could all potentially find ourselves falling short of the expected standards placed on us by our regulating body.
