Youth vaping awareness campaign launched

A youth vaping awareness campaign has been launched, which highlights concerns over super-sized disposable vapes, ahead of the upcoming parliamentary vote on the Tobacco and Vapes Bill.

The campaign, organised by vape retailer VPZ, features a mobile display that will travel across key London locations, illustrating the stark contrast between legal 2ml vapes and significantly larger illicit devices. The company is calling for urgent action to address the rise of these high-capacity, unregulated products, which they argue pose risks to both the health of young people and the environment.

Greig Fowler, director of VPZ, said, “We hope that our campaign will serve as a wake-up call to policymakers and the public, as it’s crucial that MPs act now to address the dangers of these super-sized disposables before the UK finds itself in the midst of another youth and environmental crisis.
