Nurse of the year winner announced

The British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN) congratulates all the winners and runners-up in the recent FMC Dental Nurse of the Year Awards – held on November 17, 2023, at the Athena in Leicester – and is delighted that two of the three winners are current BADN members.

Two of the winners, Shannon Wilkes, Northern winner and overall Dental Nurse of the Year, and Rebecca Silver, London winner, are current members of their professional association, as is one of the Highly Commended dental nurses.

Preetee Hylton, BADN president-elect and one of the judges for the Dental Team category of the FMC Dental Awards, said, “I was not one of the judges for the Dental Nurse of the Year category, but am delighted to discover that two of the three winners are BADN members! BADN will be awarding all three winners and three Highly Commendeds a free BADN membership for one year.”
