Norfolk summit discusses the future of dental care

1 min read Communication
Community Dental Services CIC (CDS) has delivered a talk at the Norfolk Dental Summit to highlight its oral health prevention programmes in the region.

The summit, organised by Healthwatch Norfolk, was initiated in response to a project they had conducted, which sought feedback from residents regarding their experiences with dental care.

The public event raised awareness of the key prevention programmes being implemented across Norfolk and Waveney and shared the Integrated Care Board’s (ICB) plans for dentistry, contracts, commissioning, and access for residents.

Amanda Turner, oral health improvement manager at CDS Norfolk and Waveney, said, “Our service focuses on promoting key messages and actively engaging with our communities to improve the oral health of people in Norfolk and Waveney. The Dental Summit was an ideal opportunity to share information on CDS’s Supervised Toothbrushing programme, a key intervention in child oral health.
