Dental student to row 100km for charity

1 min read Volunteering
A final-year dental student is powering ahead with her plan to row 100km to raise funds for Dentaid The Dental Charity.

May Firoozmand will attempt the incredible feat of endurance on a Concept 2 rowing machine – aiming to complete the challenge in less than 10 hours.

A solo row covering this distance is rarely attempted, but May, who’s studying dentistry in Varna, Bulgaria, has been training hard and is ready to take on the 100km mission. She hoped to raise over £1000 with her efforts.

She said, “My dental studies in Varna are gradually coming to an end, and I thought what better way to mark the end of this chapter and celebrate a new one than by organising a charity fundraiser.”
