A plethora of opportunity under one roof at BDIA Dental Showcase

BDIA Dental Showcase returned to the NEC this October to provide thousands of attendees with the access to the latest guidance, products and services available in the industry.

Visitors had the chance to enjoy both the new features and old favourites incorporated into this year's show. Those interested in specialising in areas of dentistry such as orthodontics or paediatric dentistry had an opportunity to gain expert advice in the newly designated 'Specialist Zone'. Also new for 2019 was the Practice Owners’ Lounge, sponsored by Dentsply Sirona, which allowed owners to sit and relax between business-focused sessions and browsing the impressive exhibition hall.

In the Dental Update Theatre, it was standing room only as a cohort of the industry's leading academics congregated to share their latest research and knowledge to a keen audience. Topics were diverse in content; Professor Trevor Burke, for example, covered the issue of minimally invasive restorations of worn teeth, whilst Professor Tim Newton explored the challenging issue of behavioural change.
